In Boston, you can expect a Duck Tour or a trip to the beloved Fenway Park to catch a Red Sox game.  If you are spending your summer in Providence, you may take a trip to the vineyards of Newport or marvel at WaterFire.  Summer associates in Stamford can expect anything from seeing a Broadway show to taking in a baseball game at Yankee Stadium.

Yes. EAPD proudly sponsors an assortment of firmwide social events, ranging from baseball games to dinner parties at the homes of our partners. EAPD also holds a two-day firmwide summer associate orientation at the onset of the summer, which enables our summers from all offices to meet and get acquainted with one another.

Is there opportunity for summer associates to get involved in pro bono work over the course of the summer?
Yes. EAPD maintains an incredible commitment to pro bono work and believes it is important for our summer associates to take part in this initiative. For more information on this, please refer to the Pro Bono section of our firm’s website.

Do summer associates receive evaluations and feedback throughout the summer? If so, how is this done?
Yes. In addition to the day-to-day guidance and feedback our summer associates receive from their mentors and the attorneys who assign them projects, we provide formal ways to evaluate their progress throughout the summer. Each summer associate receives both a mid and end-of-summer review that enables their hiring committee advisor to provide them with constructive comments and feedback on their work assignments. These meetings also give our summer associates an opportunity to speak openly with their hiring committee advisor about their summer experience, ask questions regarding their progress, or request more assignments from a particular practice area.
