Recruiting Process

Please be advised that we are no longer accepting applications for our 2010 summer associate program.

Each Fall, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP visits law school campuses and participates in job fairs throughout the country. If we are interviewing at your school, please submit your resume and transcript through your career services office. For a complete list of law schools/job fairs and the dates we are scheduled to interview, please see the On-Campus Interview Schedule.

In the Fall of 2009, the firm will conduct on-campus interviews at more than 10 law schools and job fairs, accepting resumes for summer associate positions in our Boston office only. The firm also accepts direct inquiries for summer positions from students enrolled in law schools that are not part of our on-campus program.

Following an initial round of interviews, whether on-campus or at the firm, we invite a select group of individuals to their preferred office for a second round of meetings. A candidate will typically meet with four or five partners and associates, with the option of going out to lunch with two junior level associates. Generally, our offers of employment are extended within two weeks after the call-back interview. In order to make the most informed decision, we encourage candidates to obtain additional information by revisiting our offices or contacting our lawyers and legal recruiting professionals. In accordance with NALP guidelines, summer program applicants are asked to respond to employment offers no later than 45 days after receiving their offer letter.

The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertisements. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
