Joseph is an associate in the Firm's Providence Office, and practices primarily in areas of antitrust, environmental, and general commercial litigation. Joseph helps to provide legal advice to business clients seeking to undertake new and different business activities or strategies, he assists clients with regulatory filings and government investigations, and he participates in various phases of litigation involving the firm’s clients.
Notable Experience
- Joseph advises clients on various antitrust matters, including Sherman Act, Clayton Act and FTC issues, and helps clients comply with federal antitrust regulatory requirements and investigations, primarily with the FTC.
- Joseph specializes in advising corporate clients regarding Hart-Scott-Rodino Act premerger notification rules and exemptions and related procedures to guide clients ahead of proposed mergers.
- Joseph has experience guiding clients through complex discovery issues that arise in antitrust litigation.
- Joseph advises clients regarding various common law and statutory environmental issues to help advance phases of environmental litigation, and has experience defending clients in CERCLA actions.
- Joseph advises clients on fisheries law.
- Joseph currently assists in the Firm's ongoing defense of an international accounting firm against investor suits arising out of funds that invested with Bernard Madoff, involving both federal securities and state common law issues.

Joseph earned Valedictorian honors in his law school graduating class. While there, he participated on the Roger Williams University Law Review and in the 2006 Pace University National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, Joseph earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Rutgers University Graduate School, with a focus on “Fate and Effects of Pollutants.” Joseph’s M.S. in Environmental Science helped him build upon his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, which he earned at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.

Joseph serves as legal advisor to the R.I. Party & Charter Boat Association, a non-profit group dedicated to the promotion of sportfishing in R.I. Joseph has been a passionate inshore saltwater fisherman his entire life, targeting striped bass and weakfish by boat as well as from the surf in Rhode Island and New Jersey waters. Joseph also plays basketball in his spare time. He also enjoys spending time with his family and following the Philadelphia sports teams.
