Sucharita joined the Debt Finance and Capital Markets and Business Law Departments in Fall 2007. She focuses her practice primarily on a broad range of debt financing transactions for banks, finance companies, and other investors, as well as public and private companies. In addition, she advises both public and private companies on a variety of corporate law matters, including merger and acquisition transactions, private equity financings, and general corporate governance.

While at law school, Sucharita served as a research assistant to Professor Abdullah An-Na’im and helped Professor Tibor Varady prepare arguments to be made in front of the International Court of Justice at the Hague. Prior to attending law school, Sucharita received the American India Foundation Service Corps Fellowship to spend one year in Bangalore, India conducting research on human rights legislation in the State of Karnataka. In addition, Sucharita spent two years as an Investment Banking Analyst at JPMorgan Chase in New York City concentrating on mergers and acquisitions in the financial institutions group.

Outside of the office, Sucharita spends her time mentoring and tutoring middle school and high school students, reading, playing tennis (go Jumbos!), and cooking. Most of all, Sucharita values and enjoys her time with family and friends.
